Founded in 1999, Aznalcóllar Equine Hospital has become a reference institution in southern Spain and Portugal, celebrating 25 years of innovation and dedication to equine medicine. Under the leadership of Francisco J. Casaus Navarro, L.M.V, MAVEE, and ISELP member, the hospital has developed into a key facility for veterinarians, horse owners, and trainers across the Iberian Peninsula.

Notably, this is where the career of Eduardo Felix, one of the world’s most esteemed sports veterinarians and an ECG member, first began, as he took his initial steps in the profession through an internship at this very clinic.

Aznalcóllar Equine Hospital offers a comprehensive range of specialized veterinary services, including:

• Internal Medicine & Neonatology – Advanced care for equine internal diseases, with four adult ICUs, two infectious isolation units, and two intensive care units for neonatal foals.
• Surgery & Orthopedics – Expertise in orthopedic, soft tissue, colic, upper respiratory tract, laser, and minimally invasive surgery, including arthroscopy and laparoscopy.
• Lameness & Sports Medicine – Diagnosis and treatment with orthobiologic therapies, laser therapy, and electrodiathermy.
• Reproductive Medicine – As the only EU-certified center in Andalusia for semen extraction, conservation, and export, the hospital plays a vital role in breeding and fertility services.
• Diagnostic Imaging – State-of-the-art radiology, ultrasound, gastroscopy, and endoscopic diagnostics, including both flexible and rigid endoscopy.

The hospital is staffed 24/7, 365 days a year, ensuring that every horse receives the care it deserves.

With 15,000 m² of world-class facilities, Aznalcóllar Equine Hospital is strategically positioned near two of Europe’s premier equestrian hubs: Montenmedio Sunshine Tour and Vilamoura Equestrian Centre, which host over 2,000 elite showjumping horses annually.

Conveniently situated just 15-16 km from the major highways A-49 (Seville-Portugal) and A-66 (West-North-South Motorway), the hospital is 36 km from Seville International Airport and 65 km from the coast. Its mild climate year-round and abundant seasonal rainfall further enhance the optimal conditions for equine care and recovery.

This partnership expands Equine Care Group’s presence in Spain, allowing us to provide year-round support in this vital equestrian market. Until now, our activities in the region have been primarily seasonal, but with the integration of Aznalcóllar Equine Hospital, we can now offer unparalleled veterinary care and expertise every day of the year.
